The Receptionists

Linda Hogan
Linda has worked for AVH since 2002. She was born in Andrews and lives here with her husband and son. She has three dogs and two cats. Linda is very thorough and will make sure you and your pet are well cared for at the front desk.

Karen Saut
Karen joined AVH early 2011. She brings a vibrant personality to our office and is wonderful company while she checks you in and as you wait to be seen the doctor. She lives in Andrews. Her husband is currently in Afghanistan. She has one son in college and another working in Pennsylvania. She has one dog and several cats.

Victoria Kelly
Victoria has worked at AVH since December 2010. She has 2 corgis and a recue pup that chews on everything. She lives in a higher elevation of Andrews with her husband and son. Her son currently attends the Tri-County Early College.

"Arnold" the cat
Arnold is the resident house cat and "head cat in charge". He is currently on a diet and exercise plan. He acts as the blood donor for our feline patients and has saved many lives. He spends most of his time on the front desk counter greeting our clients.


Veterinary Nurses

Scott Gunnels
Scott has worked for AVH since he was in high school. He started out as after school help and is now the lead technician for the hospital. He is experienced in radiology and anesthesia. Our clients love Scott.

Scott was born in Andrews and is well rooted in the community. He has six dogs and pictured here with his dog "Zon".

Christina Perry
Christina works a very busy 3 day week. She loves all animals. Before coming to us, she spent time at the Humane Society. Christina has 5 indoor dogs, 2 Great Pyrenees for guarding her goats and chickens. Her husband is a local artist. They live in Hanging Dog.

Kelsey Jackett
Kelsey became part of the AVH team in the Spring of 2011. She spearheaded our AAHA accredidation. She has loved animals since she was a child. She is an accomplished dog trainer and a huge asset to AVH. She also works part time for the NGAEH.

Amy Raymond
Amy has worked at Andrews Veterinary Hospital for several years. She is from Andrews and her family continues to make Andrews her home. She has 2 beautiful daughters. Amy is our head hospital attendant. She does a great job of monitoring all hospitalized patients and a very through dental. Amy is vary caring with all creatures.

Beth Shirley
Beth's family lives in Murphy and comes to us from sunny Florida, where she has lots of experience working in Veterinary Hospitals. Beth is cross- trained and capable of most tasks. You may find her assisting in surgery, performing a dental(her specialty) or checking in patients. She has a son at Murphy Elementary School.

Techinician

Ashley Armstrong
Ashley commutes from Bryson City and is a Registered Veterinary Technicain. She is highly trained in anesthesia and patient monitoring. She has a dog with allergies and feeds a limited ingredient diet. She can offer ideas and assistance to other patients that have allergy problems or sensitivities.
